2019 EPNA Volunteer Recognition

The Enderis Park Neighborhood is widely known as a wonderful place in which to live and play. This is, in large part, due to the friendships, active neighborhood association and strong sense of community and commitment that exists among the neighbors and businesses within our community. The mission of the Enderis Park Neighborhood Association (EPNA) is to “promote neighborhood stability and a rewarding quality of life for all by working with neighbors to support and maintain an attractive, diverse, respectful and safe community.” The Enderis Park Neighborhood Association is composed 100 percent of volunteers. All of its events, activities and neighborhood improvement projects are designed to meet its mission and are planned and organized solely by volunteers.

VOLUNTEERS TRULY ARE THE LIGHT THAT BRIGHTENS OUR NEIGHBORHOOD! We want to express our MOST SINCERE THANKS for their enthusiastic and selfless commitment of time, resources and talents. On February 20, 2020 EPNA sponsored the 2019 Volunteer Recognition Event at Kam’s Thistle and Shamrock. Volunteers were treated to a light dinner, beverages and a prize raffle. It was an evening of friendship and grateful appreciation. A HEARTFELT THANK YOU is extended to OUR AMAZING VOLUNTEERS, listed below, who contributed to the success of all of our 2019 EPNA events.

A special thank you also to the participating UWM, Marquette University High School and Rufus King High School Student Event Volunteers for their generous time and talent.  And thank you to all event attendees and participants.  Together we make Enderis Park Neighborhood a great place in which to live and play!

2019 EPNA FINANCIAL REPORT

2019 was a successful financial year with EPNA total receipts exceeding total disbursements by $6,978 compared to a 2019 budget deficit of ($6,835), or $13,813 better than budget. The ’19 budget anticipated $5,000 spending for the construction of a Bocce Ball Court which was delayed to 2020. These funds will be spent in 2020 assuming the Project is completed then. Also, EPNA received $4,095 in Trust for improvements to the Magic Grove Sculpture in Enderis Park not anticipated in the 2019 Budget.*  EPNA has no control over these funds.  Farmers’ Market spending reductions more than offset reductions to sponsorship receipts, producing a net $2,520 savings compared to the 2019 budget.

EPNA membership revenues totaled $4,995, which was $705 below the $5,700 budget. Other events (Easter Egg Hunt, Bloom & Groom, 4th of July, etc.) produced better than budgeted results.  EPNA events produced net receipts over disbursements of $539 versus a minus ($1,110), or $1,649 better than budget.  As of 12/31/2019, the balance in the EPNA business checking account totals $26,108.92* including all deposits made and checks written through that date.

*NOTE: As of 12/31/2019, $5,184 of the total EPNA cash balance of $26,108.92 is being held by EPNA in a “Metz-White Magic Grove Trust Fund” to maintain and repair the Enderis Park Magic Grove sculpture. While included in EPNA’s fund balance, EPNA does not control the expenditures from this Trust Fund, acting only as a Trustee.
